Thomas Petroski

My entrance into audio engineering came through music. I began studying piano at an early age, and by fifth grade, I was a church organist.  While studying Jazz Piano at Temple University in Philadelphia,  I began using synthesizers and soon began to work as a programmer and producer.  Several years later, I was hired as a full-time engineer at a busy studio in the Philadelphia suburbs. In 2007 I moved to Texas to accept the position of  Audio Director for a large church. I enjoy all facets of audio work, from studio mixing, live sound, corporate audio, and sound-for-video.  My musical studies have sharpened my ears, giving me an awareness of the nuances in many musical styles. I have experience with all large format consoles, RF frequency coordination, PA installs and rigging, and have terminated a large variety of cables and connectors. I also enjoy teaching and training people so they can get the most out of their equipment and assignment.
